People always ask what they can do for us. We do appreciate your prayers and service in our behalf. We'd also like to ask you to leave comments on the blog or directly in our email sometimes. Just a little note so that we know that you've been here and know what's going on. For Jon & I it is these little reassurances that we are not in this alone that mean the world.

CT, Bloodwork, & Beach - July 23, 2008

Jacob had a CT scan, Bloodwork, & Pre-op appointment

Jon took him to these. They left at 6 a.m. and didn't get back until after 2 p.m. Everyone was very helpful, but there were some insurance approval issues that bumped everything back. LOTS of waiting for the pair of them. I also hadn't pieced together that Jacob had to drink a big bottle of orange fluid and wait an hour before the CT. He also had to have an IV for the stuff they inject him with so they can see on the CT. Jon said it did look like those big machines you see in the movies with the laser lights. Jacob held up very well with all the needles today. I'm so proud of him.

We packed the family up around 3 p.m. and went to the beach to play, BBQ, and rest from all this craziness. Jacob was in heaven. All of us were. It was Jayson's first time to the beach. I think he'll want to go again.
